Dr. Karl Merritt is a Registered Psychologist. He has extensive experience working with a range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. He specializes in children’s mental health, including preschoolers. He also enjoys and has experience supporting couples and adults.
Karl has worked as a psychologist for over ten years in a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health, private practice and tertiary day treatment programs. He is a past registered social worker and has degrees in psychology, social work and philosophy/theology.
Karl is an adjunct professor at the University of Alberta with both the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Educational Psychology. In these positions, he supports the training of psychiatry residents in the child and adolescent subspecialty program and doctoral students in the school and clinical psychology program.
